The Creative Journey
Welcome to the journey I've traveled for most of my life. This journey has had it's hills and valleys, turns and straights. But after 50 years, it's still as interesting a trip as it was when I was nine years old making toys out of the boxes in which the real toys came. My first serious venture into this creative life was writing music and crafting lyrics to fit. While I still involve a portion of my brain activity to songwriting and composing, it was a natural transition to begin creating visually.
I often wondered why I have been so distracted by the right side of my brain. I could have been a darn good attorney, doctor, or engineer if it wasn't for the incessant need to see colors, melody and composition in everything. It has consistently caused me to look at life around me as not much more than sights and sounds to intrigue, delight, and stir emotion in me and others. And that in a nutshell is what I am called to do. I want to create sights and sounds that stir emotion in the viewer. Sights and sounds that make the viewer stretch their emotional muscles in new ways or old ways long since forgotten. The reason I call it a journey, is because I'm not there yet. But I'm on my way.
Feel free to look around at the various places this journey has taken me. Maybe you will be inspired to set free your own creative spirit. If you would like to comment on anything you see here, just go to the CONTACT page shoot me a line.
